Links
[Link text](https://address) makes a link.
Put the words to click in square brackets, then the address in round brackets right after them, with no space between.
Download it from [prosedown.com](https://prosedown.com).Download it from prosedown.com.
Add a title in quotes after the address. Many apps show it as a tooltip.
[Prosedown](https://prosedown.com "The Markdown editor")To show an address as a clickable link, wrap it in angle brackets. This works for email addresses too.
<https://prosedown.com> or <hello@example.com>- Links can point to files next to your document:
[the budget](budget.xlsx). - Addresses with spaces need
%20in place of each space, or angle brackets around them:[notes](<my notes.md>). - Bold, italic and code work inside the link text:
[**Read this**](https://example.com).
Prosedown also links plain web addresses that start with https:// or www.. Some other apps don't, so angle brackets are the safer habit.
To link to a heading in the same document, use # and the heading's words in lowercase, with hyphens for spaces and punctuation left out. GitHub reads these the same way.

In Styled Mode, click a link to follow it: web addresses open in your browser, email addresses in your mail program, and a heading link scrolls to that heading. To edit a link's text instead, drag across it or move the caret into it with the arrow keys.
For long addresses, or one address used many times, give the link a short label and define it once, anywhere in the document. The definition line doesn't show.
